Monsoon mood

Asking only worker’s wages, I come looking for a job
But I get no offers
Just a come on from the whores of Seventh Island

I do declare,
There were times when I was so lonesome
I took some comfort there……

It has been raining in Mumbai for a whole week today. It slows down occasionally to a hopeless drip-drip-dripping and then suddenly lashes out again. It feels like just after a breakup or a death, when one cries and cries and elapses into trembling gasps thinking one has cried all the tears left inside. Then suddenly a painful memory flashes across the mind and the tears start again.

The skies are crying. Who wipes the tears that fall from God’s eyes?

Don’t wipe them, let them flow. He cries for you, for us; so bask in it, bathe in it.

You will only embrace His rays more fervently as they break out when the storms have passed.

Yeah, Mumbai monsoons are awesome. Just wish so many others didn’t have to bear the brunt of these lashes while some of us soak in the downpour!
