Punishment
I’d rather punish you with my absence than with my presence.
But what happens when I don’t want to punish you anymore? Then it’s time for me to take my punishment, apparently.
And what if I turn around and tell you that,
Imitation really is the sincerest form of flattery, baby…so thanks for the compliment!
It isn’t punishment anymore if I’m having fun with it, is it?
Dum dum de dum dum de de dum dum do…

If you don’t want to punish someone anymore, then I would assume that indifference would have set in. And indifference is the biggest killer of them all. So why punishment for you?

@ DC: Except in this case it isn’t indifference. It’s actually a gift, instead of a punishment – for the other person and for me.
