The institution of marriage does not hold sanctity any more.
His tone scoffed but his voice was gentle
Reminding her to anticipate reality and not be hurt by it
Yet, she persisted,
I hold it sacred, even if no one else does
And till then,
It won’t be relegated to the graveyard of relic rituals.
