The accompanying visual showed a sketch of an old man in a white dhoti bending over and picking up something from the ground. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. The Mahatma.
Whether you agree with his philosophy and his actions or not, you can’t deny he was a man with convictions and strong actions that impacted a huge mass of people.
2005 is the 75th anniversary of the historic salt march undertaken by Mahatma Gandhi from Dandi to Sabarmati. The Mahatma Gandhi Foundation is organizing another salt march along the same route to commemorate this occasion.
