Thank you for this video
Yes this happened to me. I wanted to ask questions.
No warrant on wire taps period facts 👌👌 Go to work do your job and go home to your family period facts
I was surprised that they can legally fire you for recording even if it's allowed by state law.
I still think I'd take my chances if I caught them on tape doing illegal things and saying illegal things.
The bad reference rule
She's helping us and now...we're helping ourselves by watching these valuable videos...Thank you so much.❤
i wish you would explain ADA accusations. we have a co-worker who uses that excuse for everything! he get's 2 customer complaints in a row, he is written up for it, the company gets a legal aid letter saying the company is violating his ADA rights? the rest us us are sitting back watching this happen, thinking What? How? apples to oranges. sometimes an employee is just a whiner
I have a question, and maybe this can make it into a video. If a manager/coworker says something offensive, and you laugh (nervous, awkward, covering the true feelings, etc) would that discredit you in the future if you bring up these offensive remarks?
I was fired for retaliation but I can’t claim anything because I was yet in the probation period (experience) and I needed a day off to go attend an assessment. Nothing guaranteed. They fired me and called me dishonest and escorted me out of the company 2 days after telling me that there would be not bad feedback if I explain why I needed the day off. So I trust my manager 😢
Thank you
Hello, thanks again!
Regina, you are constantly dropping valuable nuggets how I wish I would have known all these rules. It would have prepared me more from the bowling discrimination and retaliation I received at work.
Do the rules apply the same as for someone discharged from their employment while on disability? Thanks for Sharing.
Maybe I misunderstood the part about the company’s policy…..
🗣️ NOT breaking the “companies” policy…has it’s caveat……long as the POLICY is not ILLEGAL and/or😮 DISCRIMINATORY on its face.
EXTREME EXAMPLE: (on its face) Company X has a POLICY that says that employees can use the “N” word at anytime and any place. (on its face)
*black eyes, swol lips, and call outs would be consistently high..
An employee cannot be compelled to break the LAW. Company policy does not supersede the LAW.
Regina, this series was the best! I took away so much & made me more confident in my career.
14. Deadlines are strict!
I almost died in a work related accident in 2017. The insurance company was great about paying all my medical bills but they were never going to offer a settlement because they know how strict the deadlines are. I had to hire a lawyer but it was worth it.
I won a case based off a severance agreement. it violated my NLRB rights.
Do managers crosss the line knowing hr will back then when in fact mgrs were fired before the cam ne dead by the plantiff.
This is so helpful. Thank you for helping us protecting ourselves! 💪♥
Yea, it was tabooed to discuss pay, until one day I learned that a new employee who freely discussed her pay, and I learned that she was being paid 4000 to 5000 more than me and I had been there three years prior. If she had not so openly discussed her pay, we would not have known how underpaid and overworked we were. We were loyal and overlooked. The employers were doing everything they could to attract new employees, while undervaluing and overworking the ones they had. This occurred after Covid's great migration and when my caseload double during the summer of 2021. It took almost a year for an increase in my salary to the market rate. Because this one employee discussed her pay, senior employees like me were able to go to the employer and advocate for higher wages. Employers are sneaky and if they can pay you less for the same work they will. Thank You, Regina, for sharing your great wealth of knowledge, it is highly appreciated.
I just subscribed
That favoritism one ☝🏾 I figured can’t nothing be done. But if it keeps happening will have to bring it up. Fair is fair. Great video either way.
The one that surprised me was getting fired for recording, even if it’s in a one-party consent state. In a way that sucks, because sometimes management lie about what they say. Smdh
