I'm a service tech so I don't sell merch but the occasional and random part. Does Freshbooks allow for that or is it 100% service based and only good for consultant types?

What exactly does it mean on Freshbooks, under the Plus plan, that you get 50 clients?
How about real estate investing?
I'm an accountant and QB Online is tedious. They cluttered it up way too much trying to make it less intimidating for non-accountants. Can't go nearly as fast or access the information I need as easily as I could with QB Desktop. QB Online also gotten really expensive and Desktop is no longer available.

Ouch Xero went up $10 in 10 months they are currently $25 a month for the basic plan
Highly do not recommend QB! I have used QB on both platforms desktop & online for 10 years. The used to be pretty decent software, but now it's a POS. I hate working in it and advise my clients considering it to stay away. Not going to go into detail here ... not worth the time to type. I'd be in the group to rate them a 1 they are so bad. Just my 2 cents
Do not use Cashflow manger is it rubbish
In Australia all bookkeepers doing a tertiary course learn on MYOB. The other big difference is I can call MYOB and speak to a person Where as XERO you need to send an e-mail and wait for help. I had an issue with payroll for a client called MYOB and found I had not ticked a box. Once it was ticked it worked OK

What software would you recommend for a both rental salon owner?
Do you know if any of these 3 online software offer the option to have multiple companies? I use QB Enterprise since I have 2 companies (1 is consulting and the other is a small cafe) both have employee payroll. I looked at chart and I end up at either QBO or Xero. Just not sure which online software is best with payroll service and if either software can do multiple companies on 1 subscription.

Great roundup of accounting tools. I personally found InvoiceBerry to be a simple and effective option, especially if you're just starting out or want something that doesn’t feel overwhelming. It handles invoicing and basic reports well without needing a steep learning curve.
Intuit is WIIIIIIIIILD!!! I am on with customer service right now with them. They are telling me you link isn't a real link because it says "partner". I am literally going back and for the with the lady now. MA'AAAAAAAAM!!! You have affiliates/partners at the bottom of your own website!!! They don't want me to use this link because your deal is better than their current. This is pretty disappointing in terms of service. But I do trust your reviews. Thanks for your content!!

I have a client that only uses QB Plus for inventory management for year end. What would you suggest as she is not liking my Proadvisor discounted QB Plus anymore and she will not use any other features in Plus to make the $ worth it.
Quickbooks Desktop just went up to $999 per year. They also charge $600 a year for payroll subscription and $7.00 per employee per pay period. So, over $2k per year. 😮 My costs have more than tripled in the last two years with Quickbooks. What are my alternatives?

Very helpful, Jamie. I have a question. From the flowchart, it seems Freshbooks would make sense, but since I wasn't familiar with it, I thought I'd ask. I run a Creative Production Agency. We make content for film, television, print, and social media. I am the only full time employee with employees/contractors pulled in on a per project basis and paid via a payroll company. My books are incredibly simple. All purchases are made via credit or bank transfer. All income is generally direct deposit with the occasional physical check. Not a cash business. No physical inventory. Limited transactions per month. Mostly recurring expenses aside from expenses directly related to specific projects. I just incorporated as an S-corp. What I'd love is a software platform that ties to my accounts and cards and automates the limited number of entries I do into a GL without me having to do much other than double check. I don't run a lot of reports as progress in my business if fairly easy to track. As I said, my company is solo operated at the moment. However in the (far) future it could potentially grow to include full time employees. But that seems far off at the moment. Is it Freshbooks that you think makes the most sense?

Jamie, I know this isn't a Relay video, but i have a question regarding your previous videos. I started a Relay account and set up multiple accounts as you suggested. I've started an amazon business and am trying to figure out how to set up the % to send to each account. If im paying out say 3500 in product in a month, but only selling and getting paid maybe 1000 in that month, how do I determine what to send to "my pay" and the other accounts? And how do I get my "op expense" account to recognize that amazon payments are the ones to divide and send into those accounts? Do I need to set my amazon payments to come into a different account and then divide those up from that account? Thanks for any help.
